The Token First Day of School Post:
It was Hailey's birthday and we went for kickass Thai food and felt ripped off when we didn't have an Asian waiter. But the food was delicious.
After that, me and Lali hung out and he picked ridiculous outfits for me to try on!
Oh yeah, then I had class. It was actually pretty interesting.
In short: I loved it. Although I will be putting a new spin on the term "starving artist," because I have to spend $400 on one art class alone.

the lakeshore smells really bad, but market lane was filled with crackheads and nosy looking old people so I knew we couldn't go there. Creepy guys kept staring at Sim, and she was dressed all in white, and I just lugged my camera around and held in a laugh. My digital camera SUCKS, but I did manage to get a few good pictures despite the many weird looks and nasty smells we had to put up with. We were out of there relatively soon though. Simone is the champion of making watery pancakes and emo pouts.
I have noticed though, that most of my photos that I particularly like are the ones that I managed to capture by accident. Which I realized means one or two things...either a good photo basically depends on luck rather than skill, or maybe those little moments in between are the ones that are meant to be captured all along and you just don't know it before you release the shutter. It's hard to explain, but I guess it's a bit of both. I'm tired of pressing backspace so I'll leave it at that. I do believe that those random moments in between are the ones that I cherish the most though, and I do think this applies to more than just photography. It makes sense to me, anyway.
On a side note, I really hope some random person doesn't show up at my door because they found a crumpled piece of paper at the side of the road, leading them to my house. hah!

well then..just to let you know..i have a webbed toe. and a freckle at the tip of my nose. and really small hands, like a little kid. i think best when im in the shower...im terrified of scary movies...i cry a lot. i want to go to sweden. i love my green pyjamas and flannel sheets. i can talk really fast. i type with four fingers. my insomnia is contagious.

So I'm supposed to go downtown today.
I take the bus to finch station.
I wait for the subway at finch station....for 40 mins.
45 minutes later, we find out there's an electrical problem two stops away from finch.
So we get on the subway for two stops...once we get to the problem stop we have to take shuttle buses
and they were INCREDIBLY PACKED...and I got jammed between two sweaty old men.
I felt violated. lmao.
Finally the shuttle bus takes us to York mills.
I get back on the yonge line and take the subway to dundas.
IT TOOK ME TWO HOURS! UGHHHH
and TTC RANT MODE=OFF
yay, I'm done.

The last time we saw Ashley Parker Angel, he was showering on Making the Band. Now, he’s penniless and has a knocked-up fiancee. Oh, how the boy band member has fallen.
But MTV is coming to the rescue. Ashley, who literally is “broke, engaged and about to become a father,” according to Variety, will star in There and Back. The show “chronicles [his] attempted comeback,” and is currently in development.
Other shows that are in the works at MTV also have a quasi-celebrity angle. Among them:
8th & Ocean, “a docusoap centered on the lives of wannabe fashion models trying to make it in Miami Beach.”
Omarion, which “revolves around the R&BR&B artists’s attempt to follow in the footsteps of Sean “P. Diddy” Combs by becoming a corporate mogul complete with his own recording label and show line.”
Mr. Rooney’s Barbershop, set in “the Queens, N.Y.-based barbershop where local cutters scout for hip-hop talent from the ‘hood.”

hello.
I've been working like crazy this past week with the photoshoots. They're going quite well but it's been so tiring. Tomorrow we'll be finishing up with the last 3 shoots, which are to be done at flow93.5. I'm excited to get all the film developed and to see the final product.
summer has been flying by, but its all been good so I'm not complaining.

WELL.
Today I went downtown with Carrie to sort out this entire crazy mess. The entire way downtown, she's giving me this massive pep talk about how I need to be MORE AGRESSIVE and how I'M NOT LEAVING UNTIL I'M BACK INTO THAT DAMN SCHOOL.
After a quick trip to Tim's, we entered the building and waited for the Regristration office to open. We were first in line and Carrie was pumping me up and preparing me to meet my fate. The Regristration office actually looked like a concession stand, and the little window rolled up and a young asian dude was there and asked me to step forward. The conversation went like this:
Mr. Random Guy: Hi there.
Me: *trying to be bitchy* Hi there. I received this letter from Ryerson University stating that they have revoked my acceptance to the Image Arts program. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED...there is no way that this is possible.
Mr. RG: Oh...student ID number? Ok..I'll be right back. *leaves. comes back in a few minutes.* Hi again. The problem is that you haven't made your first tuition payment on time...
Me: *cutting him off* Actually, I made my first payment in person on July 4th. *grabs receipt from purse and stamps it on the table*
Mr. RG: Ok...take a seat. David be with you in a minute.
Me: errrr..okay.
David: Hi Stefanie! I looked over your file and this whole thing was a big mistake! We're sorry for the inconvenience. You're back in Ryerson now.
My mom: I WANT SOMETHING IN WRITING! PROVE IT!
David: Ermm...sure...
and that was it. I'm back! To celebrate, I bought myself a Lomolito =D Yay! I've always wanted one.

WELL.
Today is a fine day. Today my offer of admission has been REVOKED from Ryerson University.
Dear Miss Fiore,
We regret to inform you that your Offer of Admission to the Image Arts - Photography Studies program has been revoked. Unfortunately, you failed to meet the conditions outlined in your Offer:
-You must graduate with your OSSD and community service hours --> I have all my credits and 70 hours.
-You must take grade twelve university englsih -->took it first semester. got 78.
-You must maintain an average of at least 74% in six grade twelve U/M courses -->I averaged 90.%
-You must make your first tuition payment by July 15, 2005 -->I dropped it in, in person, on July 4th. I even got a receipt.
SO. That makes a lot of sense, doesn't it? I called someone and they said "they'll call me back and to remain calm."
It's hard to remain calm when the next 4 years of your life have suddenly become uncertain!

so I finished Harry Potter yesterday, finally...
wow. wowowowowowow.

Last night was hilarious. I get a call from Carrie telling me that we're going out tonight and to be ready in an hour. Me, the sometimes clueless girl that I am, didn't even bother ask where and just took a quick shower and ran out the door once Anton was there. Him and Carrie turn around and tell me, "Oh Stef, by the way, we're going golfing tonight with Trinh and Andrew."
Yeah thats right we went to a driving range. I hated the idea at first but I'm proud to say that I am indeed a better ball-hitter than I am a BOWLER. (ahem, but I refuse to bring up my bowling experience ever again.)
After the bowling, we were bored so we went to Dominion because hey, we already did something ridiculously random for the first half of the night, so showing up at a grocery store at 11 wouldn't be much different. We bought:
-2 bottles of VITASOY lite chocolate soy milk (my fave <3)
-a bag of strawberry Craisins
-strawberry marshmallows
-gummy bears
-and of course...12 SLICES OF CAJUN CHICKEN! thats right we got some deli meat. woohoo.
We went to the self-serve cashier section where we could scan the items ourselves...which was so much fun...but when it was time to put the money in the machine we were $2 short. We payed the $2 in pennies, nickels and the occasional dime. It was hilarious.
So we get outside...and we're so hungry that Andrew runs and gets a blanket from his car, swooshes it over the hood of Anton's car and we create a lovely little picnic right outside the grocery store. Yes, we looked like hobo children but it was fun. We stopped at Antons house so Luca could meet up with us, and then we headed off to Danieles house to pick him up, and then back to Chapters for none other than....
HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE!
The book went on sale at 12:01, and we arrived at about 11:50. Chapters was completely packed with kids, teenagers and parents all waiting for the book. The lineup was HUGE and our chances were slim on getting a book without waiting for an hour! I remembered they were selling the book also at Shoppers, so we snuck out quietly (so the rabid fans wouldn't follow us) to our secret Harry Potter destination. On our way out we saw Ashley, which was awesome but also weird because we always seem to run into Ashley whenever we go out. Ashley!! If you're reading this we're all gonna go out sometime to prevent the customary running-in-to.
Shoppers was a lot less packed and almost as soon as we got there the book went on sale, and within 10 minutes all of us had our very own copies of Half Blood Prince. It was a very, very, random night indeed but it was all good fun. Now if you excuse me, I have to get some reading in before I leave for the shoot today...so ta-ta!

When I first heard it on the radio, I thought it was a joke, like a parody thing.
(And I kept waiting for a chorus)
Then my ghetto-music-lovin' sis informed me that the singer is none other than R. Kelly, and no, it is not a joke, he takes the song quite seriously. Not to mention I only heard the first part...and there's four more.
I researched the lyrics and I seriously got a huge laugh from it.
